THE FINAL COUNTDOWN………………….

3-4 Weeks Before            

Complete a change of address form at your post

office/or online

Inform catalogues/clubs etc of new address

Notify schools, churchs etc.

Request packing materials from Glaziers so that you can

start packing

Dispose of items that you do not require removing to

your new home

Notify doctors, dentist and opticians

Run down the contents of the freezer

Make a plan of where your furniture will be placed at

your new home

1-2 Weeks Before      

Dispose of flammables, batteries, paints etc.

Notify newsagents, milkman etc.

Contact digital supplier

Inform friends and relatives of your new address

Contact your telecom provider

Locate all keys

Day Before 

Defrost and clean the fridge (place a dry teabag inside)

Disconnect appliances

Moving Day                     

Keep all your valuables somewhere safe and carry them

personally with you to your new home

Keep handy your remote controls, lock all

doors/windows and switch off all plug sockets

If your effects are being removed to store, retain all

important documents, i.e. passport, driving licence etc.

Remove all batteries from remote controls, clocks, toys

etc.
